Gilbert Boulianne, age 88 years, passed away on June 4, 2026, at the hospital in Chicoutimi. Survived by his wife Judith Riverin, he was the son of the late Flore Gauthier and John Boulianne.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 19:00 to 22:00, and on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:15, at the Complexe funéraire Rive-Nord (Ste-Claire), located at 345, rue St-Armand, Chicoutimi, QC G7G 5B1. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:30 at the église St-Honoré at 3550 Bou Marte, St-Honoré, G0V 1L0. Afterward, his remains will be cremated at the Alliance funéraire du Royaume, and his ashes will be deposited in the Emery Gravel Columbarium.
He leaves behind his children: François Boulianne (Sandra Boulianne), Benoit (Josiane Tremblay), his grandchildren: Stéphanie (Joey Mitchel), Étienne (Marjolaine Tremblay), the late Mélina, Jasmin (Audrey Desjardins), Cédrick (Roxanne Gravel), Maude (Guillaume Bouchard), Sabrina (Françis Lavoie), Charline (Marc-Antoine Dussault), and his great-grandchildren: Lily, Edouard, Océane, Liam, James, Éléa, and soon Olivia.
He was the brother of the late Claire (Thomas-Eugène Tremblay), Jean-Marie (Antoinette Tremblay), Charlotte (Jean-Paul Fillion), Colette (Clément Normandin), Gaston (Candide Lavoie), Mariette (Florent Malette), Rita (Rosaire Savard), Laurier (Cécile Desbiens).
He was also the brother-in-law of the late Violette Riverin, Martine (Fernand Ouellet), and Antoine-Marie.
He is survived by friends and many nephews and nieces. The family thanks the staff of Résidence St-Honoré and the hospital staff for the care given to him.
