Gilbert J Eringman

Gilbert J. Eringman, 92, died peacefully at his home in Pickerington, Ohio, on May 29, 2026.Gil was born October 5, 1933 in Upper Nyack, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Eringman, and sister Walburga. Gil graduated from Irvington High School (New Jersey) in 1951 and was soon after employed with Western Electric in New Jersey, as a draftsman. Gil met his loving wife Jane at the Jersey Shore and they married in September 1954. Gil served in the U.S Army Reserve for several years.In 1962, Gil and Jane, moved to Columbus, Ohio as a result of a job transfer with Western Electric.Gil was involved with youth sports teams, coaching various youth baseball, football, and basketball teams for their children. Throughout the years, Gil and Jane enjoyed many activities with family and friends, including cards, bowling, racing horses, and spending time at the Polish and German clubs.After 43 years of service with Western Electric / AT&T / Lucent, he retired as a Senior Engineer. In his retirement years he enjoyed painting and shared his paintings with family and friends all over the country. Jane and Gil later moved to Pickerington.Gil is survived by his loving wife Jane; their three children, Pamela Poland (Steve), James (Jacqueline), and Julie Olds (Keith); their four grandchildren, Joseph Eringman (Josh Fitzpatrick), Keenan Olds, John Eringman (Paige Ingram), Mikayla Olds (Brandon Slitor); sister Anita Maronpot (Jeff); and brother John (Betty Lou, deceased).
