The family and loved ones announce the passing of Gilberte Cyr at Marie-Anne-Ouellet Retirement Center, on July 20, 2026, at the age of 87 years and 10 months. She lived in Lac-Humqui.
She was the wife of the late Léonidas Dechamplain.
She was the daughter of the late Albert Cyr and the late Antoinette Côté.
Mrs. Cyr leaves behind her children: Sylvie, Mario (Manon Lafrance), Guylaine (Martin Gagnon), Serge, Johanne (Mario Daigle), Rémi;
her grandchildren: Valérie, Stéphanie, Marie-Ève, Patrick, Catherine, Mélanie, Alexandra, Nicolas, Audrey, Kathleen;
her great-grandchildren: Roxanne, Simon, Rébecca, Léo, Lorie, Anthony, Alexis, Billy, Charly, Brandon, Floryan, Félycia;
her great-great-grandchildren: Hailey, Arya;
her sister and brothers: Rita, Réjean (Rachel), Jacques (Anna);
her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Cyr and Dechamplain families.
She also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends in mourning.
A memorial service will be held at the Lac-Humqui church on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Suzanne Paquet, Dr. Agnès Pascot, and the healthcare staff at Marie-Anne-Ouellet Retirement Center for their care and compassion.
