Death: May 24, 2026 at the age of 83 years and 11 months.

Obituary:

Mme Ginette Maltais, wife of M. Jacques Laforge, residing in Lac-Kénogami, passed away at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Cécile Larouche and the late Arthur Maltais.

The family will receive relatives and friends on June 5, 2026, from 19h to 22h and on June 6, 2026, from 9h to 11h, at the Chicoutimi Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11h at the Chapelle Chicoutimi.

She leaves behind her children: Claude Laforge (Karine Bourgeois), Isabelle (Olivier Dufour), and Richard; her grandchildren: Étienne Laforge, Élyse Laforge (Patrice Lemieux-Montminy), Stéphanie Laforge, Gabriel Lévesque (Gabrielle Laroche), Mathieu Dufour (Victoria Gareau), and her great-grandson Arnaud Lévesque. She was the sister of the late Marie-Paule Maltais (the late Sylvio Rathé), the late Micheline (the late Fernand Boucher), the late Lucienne (the late Vincent Gagnon), the late Gemma (the late Paul-Henri Desbiens), the late Noëlla (the late Paul-Armand Gagnon), Judith (the late Alexandre Bouchard), the late Jeannine (the late Denis Gervais), Guy, Marc (Clémence Lachance), Danielle (the late Raynald Dion), Diane (Guy Simard), Raymond, and Christiane.

She was the sister-in-law of Ruth Laforge, the late Camille (the late Robert Leclerc), Thérèse (the late Carol Morissette), Monique (Gérald Desjean), Francine (André Tremblay), Anne, and Andrée.

Many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends also mourn her.
