Gloria I Vincent, was born on July 4, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on August 13, 2026, at the age of 81.
Gloria lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and quiet strength. She was a Catholic woman whose life reflected the values she held dear, and she carried herself with a spirit that was loving, generous, and faith-filled. Those who knew her were blessed by her warm presence, her kind heart, and the steady grace with which she met each season of life. She was a woman who believed in the goodness of family, the comfort of prayer, and the importance of living each day with gratitude and purpose.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A Vincent, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Their union was built on love, commitment, and a lifetime of shared memories. Together they raised their children, John, James, and Joseph, and built a home filled with care, guidance, and devotion. Gloria treasured her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was the center of her heart. She found great joy in the lives of her grandchildren, Ally, Jamie, Joseph, John, and Jacob, as well as her great-grandson, Jude, who brought added happiness to her later years.
After graduating from high school, Gloria attended SAC, continuing her education with the same determination that would characterize her life. She later devoted 20 years of service to Lackland Air Force Base, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Her years there reflected her strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to serving others through her daily responsibilities. She approached her work with humility and diligence, earning the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Outside of her work, Gloria found joy in the simple and meaningful blessings of life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, cherishing gatherings, conversations, and the comfort of being surrounded by those she loved. She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her plants with patience and care. In the beauty of growing things, she found peace and satisfaction, and her garden reflected the gentle and nurturing spirit she carried within her. These interests were not merely pastimes, but expressions of the love and care that defined her life.
Gloria’s life was a testimony to faith lived out in everyday ways. She was a woman who trusted in God’s promises and sought to honor Him through the way she loved others. Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her generosity, and the steadfast faith that guided her through both joys and challenges. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, compassion, and Christian witness that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, Gloria’s memory will remain a source of comfort and strength to those who loved her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of a servant’s heart, and her influence will live on in the generations she helped shape. The love she gave so freely, the prayers she offered, and the example she set will not be forgotten.
Gloria will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, extended family, and all whose lives she touched. We give thanks for her life and for the many ways she shared God’s love with others. May she rest in the eternal peace of her Savior, and may her family find comfort in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of everlasting life.
