Gregory James Ochoa Jr.

Gregorio J. Ochoa, 91 of Yakima, Washington passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on November 20, 1934 in Lompoc, California, Gregorio was a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend and community member. He was well known for his qualities of kindness, dedication and his wonderful sense of humor. Gregorio was a Professor at Heritage College for the MSW program and specialized in Addiction Studies. He touched the lives of many through his work, service and passion. He was a devout Catholic and attended mass everyday. Also, an avid bird lover. Gregorio is survived his daughters, Loretta Myking, Francis Wheeler and son Dr. Kevin Ochoa and his wife Virginia Ochoa, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who will cherish his memory forever. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Ochoa.Visitation will be held at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, US, on August 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 212 N 4th St, Yakima, WA 98901, US, on August 28, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Graveside Committal at Calvary Cemetery, 1405 S 24th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, US, on August 28, 2026, at 11:30 am.
