Guadalupe L. Montes

Our beloved mother, Guadalupe L. Montes, 82 passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026.Born, January 15, 1944, in Ysleta, Texas, she graduated from Ysleta High School in 1963 and a retired educator of Ysleta ISD. She resided in her retirement in Capitan, NM.Guadalupe is survived by her children, Sylvia Ginithan (Daniel), Francisco Montes Jr. (Anna), Patricia Paulino (Michael) and Ida Salcedo (Fernando) her thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and her sisters Lucy, Carmen, Consuelo and Rosie. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Francisco C. Montes, her parents Jose R. and Eduviges (Duvi) G. López and her brothers, Jose R. (Pepito), Antonio E., Jose M. and Ramon López.Guadalupe was a devout Catholic and Catechist. Her strong faith and quiet strength were the foundation of her life. She met challenges with courage, and trusted God through every season. Guadalupe inspired her family through her example of perseverance, grace and unconditional love.Guadalupe was a dedicated mother and instilled the importance of faith and education in her children and grandchildren. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, and great grandchildren always celebrating their accomplishments. Her guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love will remain a lasting legacy.“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.”
