Herbert Benjamin

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Herbert Benjamin on September 22, 2026, at Markham Stouffville Hospital, at age 95. He was the beloved husband of Vera for 70 years. Father of Michael (Judy), Ellaine (Yvon), and Robert. Grandfather of Sarah (Joel), David, Emily, and Jeremy. Brother-in-law of Sandra. Predeceased by his sister Marion and his brother Arthur.

Herbert was born in Montreal and worked as an engineer for CBC. His projects included working on the Toronto Broadcast Centre. He had various hobbies including photography, woodworking and exploring new technology.

A graveside service will be held on Friday September 25 at 11:00 at Pardes Chaim Cemetery 11818 Bathurst St. Vaughan, Ontario . Shiva will follow at 61 Cornell Common Road, Markham, Ontario . There will also be a gathering at the same location on Sunday, September 27 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
