Howard "Gene" Eugene Fowler

Howard “Gene” Eugene Fowler, age 93, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on April 29, 2026 after a short illness.

He was born in Woodstock in 1933 to Thomas Clyde & Guynelle Serena (Hall) Fowler.

Gene attended Woodstock Elementary School and Canton High School. He joined the Navy in 1955 and started work at Lockheed Georgia after he was released to the reserves. He married Jean Ritter on January 27, 1961 and they settled in Woodstock to raise their family.

Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ritter Fowler, his brother, Thomas ‘Tom’ Fowler, and his parents, Thomas Clyde and Guynelle Fowler.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Fowler, and Howard (Melissa) Fowler and three grandchildren, Serena Huskey, Jesse Huskey and James “JT” Fowler.

Visitation will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188, US, on May 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on May 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188, US, on May 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at Enon Cemetery, 7708 Main St., Woodstock, GA 30188

Donations to the Sequoyah Regional Library System (Canton) and New Salem Baptist Church (Kennesaw) would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
