Irma Isela Hurdis, of El Paso, Texas, born January 22, 1941, passed away on Tuesday, May 19th with her loving son by her side. Irma was a lifelong El Paso resident having graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and earning professional certificates and degrees from Providence Memorial Hospital and El Paso Community College prior to earning her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Park University. She retired from the healthcare field after decades in the fields of radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.

In her personal life, Irma was a dedicated follower of the Catholic Faith. She was a parishioner of St. Raphael Catholic Church, served as a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion and participated in bible study for several years. Irma, Micki, as she was called by many, is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard Paul Hurdis, two sisters, Nena O. Leos and Yolanda Sims, and her parents, Consuelo G. Orona and Raul Orona. Irma is survived by her son, Scott G. Hurdis, daughter-in-law, Deborah M. Hurdis and grandchildren, Alaura, Elise and Devon Hurdis, all from Hawthorne, New York. Irma is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Raab family for medical and personal care and to family and friends for their support and prayers.

Visitation for Irma will be Monday, June 1, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 9:30 am at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd, El Paso, Texas 7992. Rite of Committal will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938.
