Jacob B Tran, born March 11, 2012, passed away June 24, 2026. He was born and raised an Oregonian through and through, and his years were marked by a spirited presence that will be deeply missed.
Known to many as “The Maverick,” Jacob carried a sense of adventure that showed in the way he embraced life’s moments with energy and curiosity. He brought a lightness to those around him as well—his humor arriving naturally, often when it was needed most, and leaving people feeling a little more at ease.
Jacob’s gentle nature and kind heart were evident in the care he held for his family and friends. He loved them deeply, and that devotion remained at the center of his life.
He found joy in football and baseball, and he was especially excited for high school football—looking ahead with hope and anticipation. He also took simple pleasure in the foods he loved most, including Pho, Musubi, and seafood, savoring the comforts and traditions they represented.
