Jacob Gabriel Baxter

Jacob Gabriel Baxter, 41, passed away on August 2, 2026. Born May 6, 1985, Jacob lived with a steady strength that others could lean on—bringing warmth, safety, and joy to the people who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jacob was preceded in death by Harris and Agnes Baxter, paternal grandparents; Juan Salazar (Uncle); and Thomas Salazar (Uncle).

He is survived by Maria Elena Baxter (wife), Hope Baxter (Daughter), Margarita Dorsey (Mother), Charles Baxter (Father), Chris Salazar (brother), Phillip Baxter (brother), and Michelle Baxter (Sister).

Jacob attended Southwest High School, and from there built a life defined by dedication and pride in doing things the right way. A respected leader in the construction industry for more than two decades, he brought both commercial and residential projects to life with care, precision, and integrity. As a Construction Superintendent for The Trevino Group, Jacob was known for steady leadership, exceptional work ethic, and clear communication. He was someone crews trusted, colleagues respected, and others naturally looked to for guidance. From early planning through final closeout, he approached each job with self-motivation and a constant desire to learn, grow, and do better than the day before.

Outside of work, Jacob found deep happiness in the simple gifts of living—time outdoors, time in motion, and time with the people he loved most. He had a genuine appreciation for nature and hiking, enjoyed kayaking, and loved traveling with his wife. Above all, he treasured meaningful time with family, making memories that will be carried forward with love.

Jacob will be remembered above all as a true savior, a steady anchor, and a loving partner to his wife, Maria Elena. Though his absence is profound, so is the love he gave, and that love will remain forever etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238, on August 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238, on August 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
