James B. "Jim" Bernius, age 64, of Sarasota, Florida passed on July 29, 2026. Jim was born on May 13, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio.Jim owned Lawns by Jim in Sarasota and was much loved by his clients, always there to lend a helping hand whenever they needed it.Preceded in death by his father, Terrence Bernius, he is survived by his mother, Doloris Bernius of Sarasota; a brother, Jeff (Brenda) Bernius of Sarasota; a step mother, Cindi Bernius of Sarasota; a step sister, Kim Sewell of Sarasota; and nieces and nephews, Jason, Justine, Matthew, Brandi and Travis.A graveside service by the family will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232.
