He was born on January 1, 1966, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to James Curtis Wilkerson and Judith Ann Wilkerson. Jimmy was a man known for his strong work ethic, strength, humor, and love for the Tennessee Volunteers. He lived a life of significance through his deep love for his family, his dedication to providing, and a gentle yet firm spirit in what he believed. Jimmy was a man who loved deeply and gave his whole heart to everyone around him. He was the kind of person you could always count on.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Wilkerson; his children, Lauren (Alzie), Stewart (Lindsey), Kirk (Mickey), and Hunter (Heather); his grandchildren, Kason, Preston, Andi, Eden, Rylan, Maeleigh, Leah, Carter, Robert; his mother, Judy Wilkerson; his brothers, Kurt (Leslie) and Ted (Susan); his nephews, Luke and Brody Wilkerson; and many other close family members and dear friends. He enjoyed camping, playing with his dogs, watching movies with his wife Kim, and spending time with those he loved most. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, his steady wisdom, and the way he showed up for people—no matter the situation. His presence brought strength, comfort, and a sense of home to those around him.

For those who knew him, he was more than a father and a Papaw—he was a steady presence, a source of strength and wisdom, and a true friend. His legacy will live on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
