James Leslie Sweet, age 90, of Blaine, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2026. He was a veteran of the United States Naval Air Force, dedicated over 30 years to Honeywell, and loved woodworking, crafting many beautiful pieces including a proud rocking chair. Despite being legally blind due to age-related macular degeneration, he continued creating and teaching woodworking. James was also known for his service to the community, donating handcrafted items to help raise funds for scholarships. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, and love for his family.
