James William Freeman, 92, of Port st. Joe, FL, formerly of Montgomery, AL passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 7:12 PM. Mr. Freeman was born on September 2, 1933, in Anderson, SC.
He retired as a Maintenance Supervisor from Regions Bank. He was a loving family man who always put his family first. Mr. Freeman had a tremendous love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a devoted member of the Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Francis S. Freeman, his parents, Julian A. Freeman and Geneva B. Freeman, his siblings, Julian A. Freeman, Jr., Betty Ritts, Nancy Oviedo, Anna Katosek and Jimmie Freeman.
Mr. Freeman is survived by his son, Charles M. Freeman (Linda), Mark R. Freeman (Amber), and Troy A. Freeman (Kim), his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL 36177. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with interment to immediately follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
