At his home, on May 22, 2026, at the age of 88, Mr. Jean Cantin passed away, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Madame Lise Déry, son of the late Gabrielle Bélanger and the late John Cantin. He lived in Cap-Rouge.
The family will receive condolences at the Cooperative Funeral of Deux Rives, at the Funeral Center of Plateau, 693, avenue Nérée-Tremblay, Quebec, on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. A tribute will be paid to him at 3:45 PM at the same location.
He leaves to mourn, along with his wife, his children: Johanne (Yves), Marie-Josée (Franco), Richard (France), Simon (Élise), Claude, and Jean-François (Janet); his grandchildren: Jean-Philippe (Sophie), Marc-Olivier (Antoine), Nicolas (Amélie), Jonathan (Émilie), and Vincent; his great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Guy (the late Constance, the late Louise), Louise (Henri, the late John), Odette (the late Gaétan), and Robert (Danièle); his brothers- and sisters-in-law from the Déry family; as well as several nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends, and his faithful companion Frimousse.
