John A. Schmidt, age 85, passed on August 19, 2026; born August 15, 1941, in Gorum, Louisiana, John was a resident of De Berry, Texas.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 1174 Co Rd 328, De Berry, TX 75639, US, on August 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on August 22, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. Officiating the services will be his grandson, Andy Bond. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Andy Bond, Drew Bond, Diego Almanza, Matt Parker, Gage Parker, and Brody Parker.
He will be laid to rest at Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, 1174 CR 328, De Berry.
In lieu of flowers, a charity of choice is requested.
