On August 12, 2026, at the St-Eustache Hospital, Ms. Josée Mercier passed away at the age of 63 years and 10 months. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Roland Mercier and the late Mrs. Maria Pedneault.

A celebration of the Word will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Chapel of the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi.
She was the sister of: the late Lily Mercier (Serge Desmeules), Rachel (Pierre Lavoie), the late Rejean (the late Louise Girard), and Frédérick (Caroline Duperré). She also leaves behind her godchildren Élise Pelletier and Keven Mercier, as well as nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
