Mr. Joseph “Joe” Lovo, 74, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Norton Audubon Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of the late Fredrick C. Lovo and Betty Schmidt Belcher.

Joe retired after 45 years with Clarke Power Services, where he specialized in rebuilding Allison transmissions. His mechanical knowledge was unmatched, and he took great pride in his craft. His friends and family knew him as a man who could fix anything and would help anyone.

Left to cherish Joe’s memory are his beloved wife of 40 years, Dianna Montgomery Lovo, the love of his life; his children, Dawn Burch, Jeremy Kinberger, Kim Hudson, and Beth Adkisson; his grandchildren, Tori Kinberger, Tyler Stout, Brianna Kinberger, Nicholas and Alex Adkisson; and his great-grandsons, Ashton Hester and Charlie McDougall. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Greenwell and Missy Alford, along with several brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Joe loved classic cars, boating on Lake Cumberland, and spending time with family at his condo at Apple Valley. He had a generous nature, a kind heart, and was always the first to lend a hand. His quiet strength, warm smile, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty made him the kind of man people were proud to know.

To his family, he was everything: a devoted husband, the best father, a proud “Poppy,” and a steady presence whose love shaped their lives. His legacy will live on in the stories he leaves behind and in the hearts he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
