Julie Anne Collins, 63, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Solarbron Terrace. She was born on December 7, 1962 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to Carl and Helen (Olmsted) Horn.
She graduated from Bosse High School in 1981. After a long career in medical transcription and medical records, she most recently worked at Deaconess Women’s Hospital for several years.
Julie was extremely intelligent and enjoyed playing Scrabble and solving crossword puzzles. She loved to sew and took pride in making her daughter's Halloween costumes and prom dress. Julie loved cooking, baking, reading, and animals. She enjoyed spending time with her family and relaxing on the beach at Hilton Head Island.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Horn.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kevin Collins; daughter, Jane Collins (Dustin Bowling); grandson, Ezra Bowling and granddaughter, Evelyn Bowling; father, Carl Horn; sister, Elizabeth Wright; brother, Mike Horn (Anita); niece, Clara Kallner; great-niece, Adele Kallner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
