Mr. Kenneth Lee Lowden “Ken" of Sterling, Virginia, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on August 6, 2026.
He was born on December 12, 1935, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Edna Margaret and John Richard Lowden. He served as a cryptographer in the U.S. Army, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, and served with the CIA, retiring in 1985 after 31 years. He was an avid genealogist, enjoyed reading, fishing, and sharing family stories. He is survived by his wife Janice, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
