Larry Clayborn Bowles, age 78, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Retreat at Sain's Hospice.
Mr. Bowles was a 1966 graduate of Mobile County High School, served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, and retired from Murphy Oil after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. Bowles and Ruby Lee Bowles. Survivors include his wife of 54+ years, Lois Marie Bowles; two children, Kenneth Bowles and Summer Bowles, both of Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren, Justice Fuller, Savannah Mills, and Taylor Johnson; six sister, seven brothers, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Bowles from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Grand Bay Community Center, 11610 Highway 90 West, Grand Bay, Alabama 36541.
