Lawrence Gene Skrabanek, 86, of Holland, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at a hospital in Temple.
He was born on April 22, 1940, to John Skrabanek and Sydonie (Marek) Skrabanek. He attended Rogers High School and later attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering.
On September 3, 1960, Lawrence married Sandra Green at First Christian Church of Rogers. He worked for Bell Helicopter for 18 years in Hurst, then at Wilsonart in Temple after returning to Central Texas.
He enjoyed working on his farm, raising cattle, gardening, and caring for his pecan orchard. He liked trips to Shreveport and traveling with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Laverne Cabla, brother Raymond Skrabanek, and sister Linda Schneider.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
