Lois A. Holmes, 84, of Osprey, Florida, passed away on April 25, 2026.
She was born May 7, 1941, in Stafford Springs, CT, the daughter of Thomas W., and Doris Holmes.
Ms. Holmes graduated from Appalachian State University in 1963, earning her Bachelor’s degree in education. She worked as a physical education teacher in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and retired in 1994. She was a celebrated tennis player.
She leaves behind her daughter Debra, her sister-in-law Barbara a niece Carole Shelton and nephews Mark, Gregg, Eric and Robert Holmes
Preceding Miss Holmes in death are her parents, and brothers, Thomas W. Holmes, Jr., and Donald Holmes.
