Dr Louis Vallière, born in Quebec on September 21, 1931, passed away at CHSLD Côté Jardins on August 11, 2026, at the age of 94. He was the son of Margaret Walker and Philippe Vallière. A graduate of Université Laval in medicine and specialized in pediatrics at McGill University, he practiced pediatrics at Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis and microbiology-infectiologie there until his retirement in 1993.
Funeral DetailsThe family will receive condolences with the ashes present on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 13:30 to 14:30 at Centre funéraire du Plateau, located at 693, avenue Nérée-Tremblay, Québec. A liturgy of the Word will be celebrated the same day at 14:30, and the ashes will be interred at Cimetière Notre-Dame-de-Belmont.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Suzanne Fournier, his children Denis (Selma Nuulimba), Nathalie, and Lucie (Jean-Sébastien Gagnon), his sister Carmélite, and his in-laws. The family extends gratitude to the staff of Côté Jardins for their care and to Khadim for his devotion.
