Louise Baldwin Rich Cramer

September 28, 2026 Dignity Memorial

Louise Baldwin Rich Cramer died peacefully at her home in Annapolis, MD surrounded by her two children at the age of 94. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Edward Norris Rich, Jr. of Baltimore and Charlotte Townsend Littlejohn Rich of Southampton, New York. Her formative years were spent between Southhampton, Long Island, where she took great pride in swimming with the actor Gary Cooper as a child, and Annapolis. She graduated from Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield, Massachusetts; in addition she attained a BA degree from the University of Maryland.

She was previously married to the late Corwith Cramer, Jr. of Lake Forest, Illinois at her beloved family home, Severnside Farm in Annapolis, in 1952. They had three children: Mark Corwith Cramer, the late Edward Rich Cramer, and Isabelle Cramer Coghill.

As a lifelong resident of Annapolis, she had a passion for all things devoted to Annapolis and Maryland history, its houses and traditions which she held close to her heart throughout her life.

She was a gifted tennis player, had a quick eye for real estate, and was the owner of Turn of the Century Antiques on Maryland Avenue in Annapolis, and was involved with the Annapolis Opera, and on the board of Historic Bunker Hill Farms in Millersville, MD.

She traveled far and adventured widely, she loved the world, her family, and friends immensely. Her life was full of infectious joy, kindness, and deep empathy for others.

She leaves a legacy that will be treasured by those who knew her.

She is survived by her son Mark Corwith Cramer (Sarah) of Annapolis, Isabelle Cramer Coghill of Dartmoor, England, two grandchildren, Edward Corwith Cramer (Kelly), and Nina Cramer Daly (Kyle), and three great grandchildren Jameson Daly, Sutton Daly, and Cadigan Cramer.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Margarets Episcopal Church, 1601 Pleasant Plains Road, Annapolis, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Margarets Church would be welcomed.
