Luther B. Riley Jr., age 87, of Rainbow City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.Luther was a longtime member and deacon of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Gadsden. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, above all else. He loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed fishing and spending time riding in the boat. He was also one of the pioneers of the annual fish fry at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Luther proudly served his country in the National Guard.His love for his family, friends, and fishing was surpassed only by his love and devotion to Jesus Christ, whom he faithfully served throughout his life and met face-to-face on Tuesday.
