Lynne Selfridge Spencer Lee was born on November 2, 1953, at Palo Alto Hospital (e.g. the Hoover Pavilion). She spent a delightful childhood growing up in Los Altos and attended Portola Elementary, Egan Junior High, and graduated from Los Altos High School in 1971. She loved the Bay Area and never considered living anywhere else. On September 10, 1994, she married the love of her life, Kevin Lee and they moved to their forever home in San Jose.

Always one for adventure, Lynne dabbled in various jobs until March 2005 when she found her passion as a purchasing agent for Supertex from which she retired in September 2014. She lived a busy life filled with travel, camping, entertaining, and most importantly a dedicated commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). She had just celebrated 39 years of sobriety--a journey through which she helped countless individuals. Her positive outlook, cheerful demeanor, and honest encouragement guided friends, family, and strangers alike. This was her greatest lifetime accomplishment. Lynne loved a party and was the consummate hostess. Whatever the occasion, be that the holidays, family gatherings, or simply coffee with the ladies, she was first to volunteer her skills and her home. Her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and never-ending energy lit up any room she walked into.

As her health began to fail, her positive outlook and optimism helped carry her through many difficult years. Her husband Kevin was her absolute rock during these challenging times, gently caring for her throughout this arduous journey. His commitment and love for her allowed Lynne to live as fulfilling a life as possible.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Jean Spencer, and her sister Gail Katherine Rinard. She is survived by her husband Kevin, stepdaughter Kelly Green, sisters Valerie Spencer and Chris LaVerne, nieces Karyn LaVerne and Jennifer Rinard, and nephews Tim Quirante (Janel), Bryan LaVerne, and Jonathan Rinard. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your favorite charity in Lynne's memory.
