Margaret M. Sorge

Margaret M. Sorge, known lovingly as Marge, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 103, after a long and healthy life.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Margaret married Joseph in 1953 and devoted herself to creating a warm and loving home for her husband and their two sons. In 1985, she and Joseph moved to San Diego, where she particularly cherished the mild climate that became part of her daily joy for the rest of her life.

Marge found delight in travel, gaming, writing music, and playing the piano. Above all, she treasured time spent with family and close friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and presence left a lasting mark on those who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Hanna) and Anthony Sorge (Jill); her grandchildren Tina, Andy, Anthony, Danny, Lauren, and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren Julian, CJ, and Theo.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Svava and Janet, whose steadfast friendship and care meant so much to Margaret.

Margaret’s memory will live in the hearts of her family and friends.
