At the Résidence St-Joseph in Maria, on April 30th, 2026, Mrs. Margaret Valdron passed away at the age of 103 years and 3 months. She resided in Maria and was formerly from Dalhousie. She was the daughter of the late Agnès Mallet and the late Allan Valdron.

Miss Margaret Valdron is remembered for a life marked by wisdom, resilience, and kindness. A deeply spiritual woman, she devoted part of her youth to religious life, serving the Church for several years before leaving the convent in the 1970s.
A professional radiology technician, she worked for many years at the Maria Hospital, where her dedication and compassion toward the sick left a lasting impression on those who had the good fortune to know her.
A golf enthusiast, she cherished the time spent on the greens, where she found joy, serenity, and camaraderie. Blessed with a great sense of humor and a warm laugh, she brought joy and comfort to everyone she met.
A precious witness to the passage of time, she carried with her the history of several generations and is survived by her sincere friends, who had the privilege of sharing precious moments by her side.
Miss Margaret Valdron will be buried at a later date at Dalhousie Cemetery, where she will rest alongside her parents.
The family sincerely wishes to thank the staff of Manoir Richmond for the wonderful years she spent there, as well as the staff of Résidence St-Joseph for the quality of care provided.
