Margurite Schmidt, 82, born December 3, 1943, in Anderson County, KY, passed away May 15, 2026 in Louisville, KY. She will be remembered reciting lines from the Golden Girls and Chuck Norris as her man.
Margurite is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Schmidt; her son, Carl Edward Schmidt; and her parents, Willis Alonzo Case and Mary Elizabeth Potts Case.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Ridener (Steve), Lori Cummins, and Charlotte Spalding; her grandchildren, Mark Philip Cummins, Lucy Cummins, Matthew Stephen Hayden Cummins, Charles Andrew Embry (Amber), Joseph Aaron Embry (Jamieann), Diana K. Culpepper (Dave), Charles Emil Schmidt (Mara), Emily Schmidt, Rachel Schmidt, Jenny Madison, Stephen Aaron Ridener, and Leah Jee Ridener; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Schmidt. She is also survived by 2 sisters; 1 brother; and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady and Son - Cralle Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206, on May 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
