On September 8, 2026, Marie-Ange St-Amant passed away at the age of 89 years and 10 months, surrounded by loved ones at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Dolbeau-Mistassini Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Aurélien Lavoie in first marriage and of Mr. Yvon Lalancette in second marriage, residing in Dolbeau-Mistassini.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph St-Amant and the late Mrs. Marie Perreault.
Her family will receive friends and family at the Hébert & Fils Funeral Complex, 2355 Boul. Wallberg, Dolbeau.
A funeral ceremony will be held on October 10, 2026, at 10:45 AM in the Gaston Hébert chapel of the complex. Cinders will be deposited at the Mistassini cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Yvon Lalancette, her children Pierre (Christine Niquet), the late Claudine (Martin Rousseau), Guylaine (Sylvain Rousseau), and Jacques Lavoie (Chantale Landry). Her children from her spouse include Martin (Guylaine Gagnon), Sylvain, Manon (Jacquelin Fortin), Johanne (Serge Fortin), and Steeve Lalancette (Mélanie Fraser).
Her grandchildren include Guillaume (Sandra Girard), Marie-Pier, Mathieu Lavoie (Anne-Sophie Potvin), Isabelle (Sébastien Simard), Émilie Rousseau (Gilles St-Gelais), Maxime Landry (Charlotte Bonneau), Sophie (Ghislain Savard), and François Rousseau (Audrey-Pier Lavoie). She leaves behind fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of Pauline (Jean-Yves Boutin), Paulette (Jacques Rousseau), Thérèse (Clement Gauthier), Jean-Eudes (Majella Allard), the late Lévis (Ghislaine Bussières), Cécile, Léon (Eliane Verville), Sylvio (Gertrude Lavoie), Raymond-Marie, Lauréat, Marie-Paule (Arthur Laliberté), Lionel, Joseph-Henri, and Jean-Jules. Also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Lavoie and Lalancette families, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family appreciates the attentive care provided by the staff at Dolbeau-Mistassini hospital.
