Mark Davis

Mark Daniel Davis was born on February 22, 1977, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of Gary Donald Davis and Harriet Jackson Hauch. He was a big brother to Mary and Bekah, a father to Seth, Channing, Alexia and Parker.

He grew up in Franklin, TN, where he attended Grassland Elementary School. He then attended Lipscomb Middle and High School, where he played baseball and won multiple awards, including the Triple Crown.

Mark started his baseball career at 8 years old; he hit a grand slam home run in his first at-bat. His family spent every summer at the ballpark, two of those summers going to the Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle World Series when he played for Crieve Hall and Twitty City. He continued to play ball during his college years at Lipscomb University and Tennessee Tech. He coached his son Seth with pride for several years and was so happy to be a part of that and was going to coach Channing this fall.

Mark was an avid fitness enthusiast working at gyms in Franklin, TN, and Birmingham, AL.

Mark became a skilled poker player and has a litany of accolades, including WPT Champion and multi-time GCP and WSOP Award winner. And no matter where he was, he always made a priority of staying in close touch with his children. He was highly respected by his fellow players and appreciated for his friendly, helpful nature.

Mark had a big smile and an even bigger heart. His deep love for his children was evident to everyone who knew him.

Mark leaves us with broken hearts and so many happy memories.

Until we all meet again, he leaves to carry his memory in our hearts: Father Gary Donald Davis, mother Harriet Jackson Hauch (Eric); sisters Mary Katherine Dominey (Tad) and Rebekah Elizabeth Howard (Baxter); brothers Garth Hauch (Emma) and Kris Hauch (Erika); sons Seth Jaxon Davis and Parker James Passons, daughters Channing Elizabeth Davis and Alexia Mugovero-Davis; nieces and nephews Kayla Elizabeth Greer (Oliver); Joseph-David Israel Howard, Ky and JC Dominey; great-nieces Hailey Elizabeth Greer and Madison June Greer; long-term girlfriend Britnee Anne Reed; uncles Windle Davis and Neal Franklin Jackson (Susan); mother of Channing and Parker, Stephanie Anne Passons; and many close friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mayo and Eleanor Davis and J.C. and Mary Jackson, and uncle Jack Ronald Davis.
