Mary Lou Harris Sims O'Rear

Mary Lou Harris Sims O'Rear, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at a local care center.She was a native and lifelong resident of DeQuincy. Mary was a member of Hargrove Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends.Survivors include her children, Brady Jay Sims of Kerrville, Texas, Tammy Colleen Midkiff of Longville, and Penny Rene' Dunning of DeQuincy; her sister, Fannie Istre of DeQuincy; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee Harris and Ludie Perkins Harris; and siblings, Inez Pinder and Walter Ray Harris; and three grandchildren.
