Mary Rose (Grever) Evans, born December 8, 1942, in Cincinnati, OH, to J. Homer Grever and Theresa Post Grever, passed away on September 18, 2026 in Litchfield Park, AZ. Mary Rose married Ralph C. Evans, III on September 5, 1966, in Fort Thomas, KY, and the family moved to AZ in 1986. After her children were raised, Mary Rose began working for the City of Litchfield Park, and 20 of those 28 years she served as City Clerk. She served on the Board of Directors of the AZ Municipal Clerks’ Association, and was chosen Clerk of the Year in 2008-2009.
Mary Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brother Michael, and husband Ralph. She is survived by sons Ralph IV, Litchfield Park, and David, Avondale; granddaughter Emma, Litchfield Park; sisters Elaine T. Grever and Ruth A. Grever (KY); and Beth (Dwight) Fowler (OH).
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W Thomas Road, Avondale, Arizona 85392, on October 6, 2026, at 10:30 am.
Inurnment will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd,, Cincinnati, OH 45249, on October 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
A Reception will follow in The Undercroft at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, 26 E Villa Pl, Fort Thomas, KY 41075, on October 28, 2026, at 3:30 pm.
