Maxwell Taub passed on May 25, 2026, at the age of 96.\n\nMaxwell Jules Taub. Born May 4, 1930, New York, NY. Died May 25, 2026, Queens, NY. Beloved son of the late William and Zelda(Sunshine) Taub. Loving brother of Ruth Puoti. Devoted husband of the late Phyllis Betty (Stern) for 64 years. Wonderful father of Christine Sutin and Caroline Marcus, and great father-in-law of Daniel Sutin and Jeffrey Marcus. Dedicated grandfather of Harrison Marcus and Morgan Marcus. He will be missed by all of these, and his extended family and friends.\n\nHe grew up in the Bronx during the Depression and World War II, went to Bronx High School of Science, and graduated cum laude from Harvard College and Business School. Served in the peacetime Army for two years, during which time he was stationed in Austria and Italy. Worked in liquor advertising and marketing, later ran his own company as a business broker.\n\nA man of a wide variety of tastes and experiences, he enjoyed gourmet dining, hiking, museums, travel, and was an incurable bookworm. To the end, he always maintained a sense of humor. You are loved and missed by many.
