Peacefully, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in her ninety-eighth year. Devoted wife of the late Stanley (Sonny). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Donna-Mai and Lawrence Rudner, Gary and Leslie, and the late Mark. Proud Bubby of Randi and Mike, Jordan and Melissa, Meredith and Shawn; Shawna Casey, and Russell; and great-grandmother of Jacob, Maya, Adam, and Reagan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Doreen Glense, the late Irving and the late Doris Glense, and the late Seymour Glense. Predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Sarah, by Sonny’s parents, Bernard (Benny) and Rebecca, and by Stanley’s sister, Dorothy. Mona was a devoted mother and generous, kind-hearted grandmother who loved travelling with her grandchildren and showering them with gifts. A controller in the needle trade, she remained dedicated to her work into her late seventies. She was a superb cook, enjoyed decoupage until her eyesight deteriorated, and became increasingly open-minded and progressive with age. Even while suffering from severe arthritis during her final years, Mona never complained and faced each day with quiet strength. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her. Special thanks to her caregivers, Christina and Orthance of Premier Home Care, for their outstanding dedication and love. Much gratitude to Dr. Jose Morais for his compassionate care.
