Estella Lucero Dreamkowski, known lovingly as Estella, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on August 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 91.
Born on December 30, 1934, in Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, Estella lived a life marked by faith, quiet strength, and devoted love for her family. She grew up in New Mexico and completed her high school education there, carrying with her the values of hard work, humility, and perseverance that would guide her throughout her life. From an early age, she understood the importance of family and the comfort that comes from a home built on love and prayer.
Estella devoted her life to being a housewife and mother, roles she embraced with grace and dedication. She found joy in caring for her family and creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and stability. Her life was a beautiful reflection of service, and she gave generously of herself to those she loved. Those who knew her best will remember her as generous, faith-filled, and kind, a woman whose gentle spirit touched many lives.
Her Christian faith was central to who she was, and she lived each day with trust in God’s goodness. For many years, Estella served as a volunteer receptionist at her church, greeting others with a welcoming smile and a caring heart. Her presence there was a blessing to all who entered, and her faithful service was a quiet testimony to her devotion. She understood the value of fellowship, encouragement, and prayer, and she carried those gifts with her wherever she went.
Family was always at the center of Estella’s life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin, and her dear son, Eddie. She is survived by her son, Danny, who will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom was a treasured part of her legacy. Her family was blessed by her steady love, her comforting presence, and the example she set through a life lived with faith and devotion.
Estella’s life was a testimony to the truth of God’s sustaining grace. In both joyful and difficult seasons, she remained steadfast in her beliefs and faithful in her walk with the Lord. She offered kindness freely, spoke with gentleness, and met others with a heart full of compassion. Her legacy will live on not only in the hearts of her family, but also in the many lives she touched through her years of service and friendship.
A fitting reminder of the life Estella lived comes from the words of Helen Keller, who said, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” Estella’s loved ones will carry her memory with them always, and the love she gave will remain a lasting part of their lives.
Though she has departed this earthly life, the faith that sustained Estella gives comfort to those who mourn. Christians are reminded that death is not the end for those who belong to Christ, but the beginning of eternal life in His presence. Estella now rests in the promise of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and surrounded by the peace that only God can give.
