Ms. Alice Faye Cannon passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Born March 16, 1938 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Claud and Ethel Webb.
She moved to California during high school and graduated from Excelsior High School. She soon married Rex Cannon and had two children, Alica and Kenneth. In the 1960s they moved back to her homestate.
She was an animal lover. Her kindness and infectious laugh won over all she met. She worked 23 years at Central Piedmont Community College and retired as Director of Admissions, Registration and Student Records. This gave her time for adventures with her two grandchildren, Alex Laurido and Sidney Cannon.
She is survived by her daughter Alica Laurido and husband John, and her son Ken Cannon, granddaughter Sidney and grandson Alex.
