Nancy Lea Lawrence

Nancy Lea Lawrence, age 87, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026 in Greenwood, IN.

Nancy was born on January 1, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Bonita Mitchell. Nancy lived a robust life defined by her creativity and sense of adventure. She was also devoted to her family.

She spent her professional years as a pharmacy technician with Wishard Hospital. Nancy enjoyed travel, particularly Paris, France, where she visited multiple times. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, and working in and around her beloved home in Greenwood, IN. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, sense of fashion, and boundless energy.

She is survived by her children, David (Shelley) Austrew, Stephen Maloy, Dennis (Nancy) Maloy, and Paige (Steve) Sullivan, and her sisters Cecilia Evans and Pamela Drinkard. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sandra Camper.

A private service for family will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. Details to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter, donorservices.alz.org.
