Nazyeli Anahi Gomez Martinez

September 23, 2026 Dignity Memorial

Nazyeli Anahi Gómez Martínez, 44, of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, México, passed away on September 23, 2026, surrounded by love.

Nazyeli was born on February 23, 1982, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to José Romeo Gómez Lozano and Eulalia Martínez de Gómez. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 2000 and went on to attend the University of Texas–Pan American. She spent much of her life in the Rio Grande Valley, where she later pursued her passion for beauty and began her career in cosmetology and esthetician. In 2018, Nazyeli moved to San Antonio, where she began a new chapter of her life and lovingly built her family.

Those who knew Nazyeli will remember her for her loving heart, her warmth, and the deep devotion she had for the people she loved. She found her greatest joy in being a mother. After the birth of her daughter, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her and creating a life filled with love, care, and beautiful memories.

Nazyeli leaves behind her devoted companion, Ricardo Peña, and their beloved daughter, Zion Stella Peña. She also leaves her mother Eulalia; her sister, Edira; her in-laws, Ramiro and Lourdes Peña, brothers-in-law, Christian and Alex; sister-in-law Vanessa and Nashae, niece, Brianna; and nephew, Alexander, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Nazyeli was preceded in death by her father, José Romeo Gómez Lozano, and her beloved baby brother, José Abel Gómez Martínez.

Nazyeli worked as an event organizer before dedicating herself to motherhood. Her greatest accomplishment, however, was the love she poured into her family. For the past year and a half, she faced breast cancer with courage and determination.

Nazyeli's greatest legacy is the love she gave her daughter, Zion. Though she can no longer walk beside her, the love she poured into Zion will remain with her for a lifetime. Every lesson, every embrace, every sacrifice, and every precious memory they shared will continue to live on through her daughter and the family she loved so deeply.

Nazyeli's faith and love for her family carried her through many difficult moments. We find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the loving embrace of

God, reunited with those who went before her. May she rest eternally in God's loving presence, and may the Blessed Mother watch over her family and bring them comfort in the days ahead.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78232. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 p.m.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to the Peña family for the love, care, and unwavering support they provided to Nazyeli and her family throughout the year and a half of her illness. Their kindness, generosity, and presence during such a difficult time will never be forgotten.

Nazyeli will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved her. Her time with us may have been too short, but the love she gave will endure in her daughter, in her family, and in all those whose lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace.
