Nellie Rue Brown

Nellie Rue Brown, age 92, passed away on August 30, 2026, at her home in Sikeston, MO.She was born on April 14, 1934, in Boonesville, Mississippi to the late Kerless and Ester Holley.On June 30, 1961, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi she married Jesse Lee Brown who preceded her in death on December 26, 1992.She retired from Missouri Delta Medical Center.She is survived by her son, Charles Lee (Rene') Brown; one sister-in-law, Barbara Brown, four grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Lila Jeanne Bussey and a special co-worker, Gloria Ellis.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.nunneleefuneralchapel.com for the Brown family.
