Ofelia Hernandez, 80, passed away on June 28, 2026. Born on September 10, 1945, Ofelia Hernandez was a beloved presence whose steadfast loyalty, kind heart, and thoughtful nature left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. Her compassionate spirit was reflected in life's quiet, meaningful moments—through the care she offered, the kindness she shared, and the respect she extended to everyone she encountered. Her warmth and generosity will be remembered with deep gratitude, enduring affection, and cherished memories by all whose lives she touched. Ofelia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a special love for gardening and caring for her plants, taking pride in watching them flourish. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music, and dancing whenever the opportunity arose. A devoted fan of Juan Gabriel, his music brought her happiness and accompanied many treasured moments throughout her life. She also loved relaxing while watching her favorite novelas. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life. She treasured every moment spent with them and created memories they will carry in their hearts forever. She also had a deep love for her dogs, who were cherished members of her family and faithful companions. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She delighted in celebrating the season, embracing its traditions, decorating, and gathering with the people she loved most. Her home reflected the warmth, joy, and love she shared so freely with others. Ofelia will always be remembered by one phrase that perfectly reflected her caring heart and unwavering faith: "Que Dios los cuide." Whether saying goodbye after a visit or ending a phone call, these words were her heartfelt wish for everyone she loved. It was her way of reminding others they were always in her thoughts and prayers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cruz Hernandez Sr; her parents, Isidro and Guadalupe Torres; and a brother, Federico Torres. Ofelia is survived by her loving five children, Delia Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez Jr., Erika (David) Zapata, Patricia (Alfredo) Guerrero, Raul (Sylvia) Hernandez; five grandchildren, Julyssa, Alexis, Izaak, Raul Fabian, Emily Ann; and three siblings, Dora Torres, Pedro Torres, Daniel Torres; numerous extended family and friends.
