It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, Otilia Soto Montes who passed on July 29, 2026 at the age of 85. She was born on April 13, 1941 to Angel and Emilia Garcia Soto.
Tillie was a life long resident of Inez and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children Pauline Marie Montes; Rose Marie Montes and husband Chris Hernandez; Robert Montes and wife Susan; Frank Montes Jr., Ruben Montes and wife Laura, along with fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Montes who passed in 2007; sisters Onselia Garcia, Teofila Barrios and her brothers Juan Soto, Samuel Soto Sr., Joe Angel Soto Jr., Emilio Soto Sr., and Felix Soto Sr.; and three great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9-10 am on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Inez with a rosary to be recited at 10am and the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am.
Tillie will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Inez.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Montes, Micah Montes, Kyle Fortenberry, Justice Montes, Leon Dean and J.J. Montes.
