Pamela Ann Thieme, 63, passed away June 3, 2026, at Heritage Pointe in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on July 2, 1962, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Richard A. and Astrella A. Lantz.
She graduated from Leo High School before going on to complete an Associate degree of Business Administration and Certified Administrative Professional credential. Pam worked at Parkview Hospital for over 30 years, serving as the Project Magnet Leader within the Nursing Center of Excellence Program.
Pam was Gods love and kindness personified to those around her. Her hospitality was second to none. When Pam knew her kids were coming over, she would always watch for their cars to pull up and meet them at the door with a smile and hug. She hosted every holiday to ensure her family was together and enjoying a home cooked meal. Her consistent prayer for protection and direction for her loved ones will leave a hole that cannot be filled.
Growing up, her favorite past time was spending quality time with family. As a teenager, she took piano lessons and afterwards, enjoyed going for ice cream with her grandmother to the local Dairy Sweet in Grabill. Pam treasured family trips to Wisconsin, watching her parents ballroom dance at parties, and spending time with friends at church.
As an adult, Pam valued laughing with her kids for hours on end in the living room at home, spending precious time with her grandkids and teaching them about Jesus, bonfires at her brother Marks, and sitting outside on the porch with her husband Denny listening to birds and enjoying the sunsets.
In her last days, Pams faith was unshakable as she was comforted by Gods peace that surpasses all understanding. As usual, her focus was on her family to ensure that their faith doesnt waiver despite this tragedy. She expressed excitement to see her mom and dad again in Heaven and get back to playing the piano. She often quoted her father, Richard, when lifes circumstances got tough. ace in the valley was a comforting reminder often used in her home meaning that God is with us in the midst of the storm.
Pamela0s memory lives on through her husband of 23 years, Dennis Thieme; children, Ryan (wife, Nicole) and Danae (husband, Curtis); brothers, Mark and Scott (wife, Karen) Lantz; step-children, Curtis and Matthew; and her beloved six grandchildren.
