Patricia Anne (Thackeray) Cyr age 87, of Acushnet passed away Saturday July 11, 2026 surrounded by her family at Sippican Healthcare, Marion, MA. She was the widow of Andre P Cyr and the longtime companion of the late Ronald J. LeBlanc.
Born In New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late William Thackeray and Margaret Beauregard and step-daughter of the late Emile Beauregard.
Patricia graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy and St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing. After years of being a stay-at-home mom, she returned to work as an RN and was employed at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home for 21 years leaving as the assistant Director of Nurses. She retired from the City of New Bedford as a Public Health Nurse.
Her greatest joys were her family, spending summers in Carver and Mattapoisett, playing games with her grandchildren, cards, Mahjong, tennis, winters in Florida, and square dancing.
