Patricia Norma Broderick Lawrence

Patricia Norma Broderick Lawrence passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at her home in Deatsville, Alabama. Born in Greenville, Alabama, on January 21, 1931, Patricia was the daughter of Fred and Corrie Foster, both of whom predeceased her. Patricia lived the first half of her adult life in Montgomery, Alabama, with her husband, James E. Broderick, who passed away in 1978. James and Patricia raised three sons who also predeceased her: Ronnie Broderick (2023); Michael Broderick (2015); and Tim Broderick (1994). She worked for twenty-five years at Brockway Glass until her retirement.

The second half of her adult life was spent enjoying life on Lake Jordan in Deatsville, Alabama, with her second husband, Morgan Lawrence, who passed away in 2022.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Mark (Davida) Broderick; Randy (Maria) Broderick; Bryan (Jackie) Broderick; Jordan (Whitney) Broderick; and Patti (John) Block. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Susan Broderick Mallett.

Having outlived four siblings, she is survived by her sister, Betty (Bob) Lohman; her brother, Wayne Foster; a special niece, Dorothy (Gerry) Wagner; a step grandson, Kevin Wofford; and dear friend, Prudie Norris.

Known as “Mama B” by many young adults who lived with Patricia and her family through the years, a service to celebrate her 95 years of life will be announced at a date forthcoming.
