On July 16, 2026, at CHUL in Quebec, surrounded by loved ones, Pierrette Dufour passed away at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 23 days. She was native of Hébertville and the wife of the late Jules Potvin. She was the daughter of the late Némèse Dufour and Marie-Anna Tremblay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Complexe funéraire Hébert & Fils, 53, rue Saint-Antoine, Métabetchouan–Lac-à-la-Croix, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM. A commemorative ceremony will be held at 4 PM in the funeral home's chapel. Live streaming options available for those unable to attend. She leaves behind her children Nelson Potvin (Lyne Poulin) and Sonia Potvin (Louis Boudreault), her grandchildren Alexandra Potvin (Loïc Briand), Mélissa Potvin (Sébastien Houle), Samuel Boudreault, and Sophie Boudreault, along with her great-granddaughter Juliette Potvin.
Pierrette was the sister of the late Armandine Dufour, Eugène Dufour, Paul Dufour, Dolorès Dufour, Jeanine Dufour, and others. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. The family sincerely thanks the staff at the palliative care department of CHUL and the healthcare teams from Sainte-Foy and Donnacona CLSCs, as well as Father Jean Bosco from Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin parish.
