Rachel Summerville, age 91, of Cornelius, NC, passed away on June 5, 2026.She was born in Cramerton, North Carolina, on October 23, 1934, to the late Ellis and Bertha Westmoreland.On March 21, 1954, she married John Summerville, and together they shared many years of love and devotion.She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and found great joy in reading and gardening.She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Webb and Kathy Spittle and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Charlotte Carter and husband Ricardo, Stephanie Spittle, Mark Helman, Jessica Helmick and husband Marty; great grandchildren, Alex Carter, Eryn Carter, Piper Helmick and Penelope Helmick; sister, Helen Hall and brothers, Austin Westmoreland and Kenneth Westmoreland.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Gaston Memorial Park.Please visit http://www.carothersfuneralhomegastonia.com to leave online condolences for the Summerville Family.
